PONTIANAK, INDONESIA | October 15, 2026 — Elkuator Research and Publication has reached a significant milestone in its development as an international academic publisher. The Indonesian Journal of Sharia and Socio-Legal Studies (IJSSLS), one of the journals published by Elkuator, was officially accepted for inclusion in Scopus on October 13, 2026. This achievement makes IJSSLS the first journal published by Elkuator Research and Publication to receive acceptance for inclusion in Scopus, a leading international abstract and citation database operated by Elsevier.

This milestone represents an important step in strengthening Elkuator’s reputation as an academic publisher committed to scholarly excellence, research integrity, and international recognition. IJSSLS’s acceptance also reflects the publisher’s dedication to developing a professional and sustainable scholarly publishing ecosystem that meets international standards for journal selection.

As Elkuator’s first Scopus-accepted journal, IJSSLS is expected to gain greater international visibility while strengthening the global academic community’s confidence in the quality of journals published by Elkuator. This achievement also provides an opportunity to enhance editorial governance, improve publication quality, expand international academic collaboration, and support the development of other Elkuator journals seeking broader international recognition.

The achievement would not have been possible without the sustained contributions of the journal’s editorial board, peer reviewers, authors, and readers, whose dedication has been essential to maintaining its academic quality, credibility, and long-term development.

Muhammad Lutfi Hakim, Editor-in-Chief of IJSSLS, expressed his sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the journal’s development and supported its journey toward Scopus acceptance.

“The acceptance of IJSSLS for inclusion in Scopus is a significant achievement, not only for the journal itself but also for Elkuator Research and Publication as its publisher. As our first journal to receive Scopus acceptance, IJSSLS reflects our shared commitment to developing high-quality, credible, and internationally oriented scholarly publications,” he said.

He expressed hope that this milestone would encourage further improvements across Elkuator’s journals while attracting greater participation from scholars and researchers worldwide.

“We warmly invite scholars and researchers from Indonesia and around the world to contribute their best research to journals published by Elkuator. We believe that broad academic collaboration, supported by professional editorial practices and rigorous peer review, is essential to building internationally reputable scholarly publications,” he added.

The acceptance of IJSSLS also marks a new chapter in Elkuator Research and Publication’s institutional development. Looking ahead, the publisher remains committed to strengthening its scholarly publishing ecosystem by improving journal management standards, enhancing editorial capacity, upholding publication ethics, and expanding national and international academic networks.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Misbahul Munir, Director of Elkuator Research and Publication, emphasized that IJSSLS’s achievement represents an important first step toward establishing Elkuator as an internationally recognized academic publisher.

“The acceptance of IJSSLS as Elkuator’s first journal approved for inclusion in Scopus is not the end of our journey, but the beginning of a greater commitment to advancing high-quality, credible, and internationally recognized scholarly publishing in Indonesia. We hope this milestone will serve as a foundation for the continued development of other journals published by Elkuator, enabling them to make increasingly meaningful contributions to the global academic community,” he stated.

Building on this achievement, Elkuator Research and Publication reaffirms its commitment to providing scholarly publishing platforms that not only meet international academic standards but also foster knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the dissemination of research that makes meaningful contributions to the advancement of scholarship.

The acceptance of IJSSLS for inclusion in Scopus on October 13, 2026, marks a defining milestone in Elkuator Research and Publication’s continued pursuit of excellence, integrity, and international engagement in scholarly publishing.
